Tales of the Pharaohs

I. The Hall of Two Truths
In the Hall of Two Truths, the heart of the departed was placed upon a golden scale. On the other side rested a single feather — the feather of Ma'at, of truth and balance. Anubis steadied the scale. Thoth, the scribe of the gods, waited with his reed to record what the heart would reveal. A heart lighter than the feather was free to walk into eternity.

II. The Barque of Millions of Years
Each evening Ra, the sun, stepped into his barque and sailed into the body of the sky goddess Nut. Through twelve hours of night he crossed the underworld, guarded by his crew, until at dawn he was born again on the eastern horizon as Khepri, the scarab. Every sunrise was a victory, and every sunset a promise.

III. From Temple Wall to Silk
Our illustrator spent months drawing from reliefs and papyri, line by line, keeping the rhythm of the original carvings while letting the composition breathe across a 90 cm square. Each scarf is printed on heavy silk twill and its edges are rolled and stitched by hand in Cairo.
